In my home language there’s a saying that goes “se sa feleng se a hlola” — loosely
translated “all good things come to an end”. This was my last edition as editor of this
magazine.
It has been a great, roller-coaster ride, a great and enriching four years as the
driver of this publication. It has certainly been the best four years of my life as a journalist.
As we come to the end of this journey, I would like to thank you the reader, for
being part of a growing family. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the Avusa
management for their kind support and for affording me the opportunity to interact with
you.
I was honoured to have worked with a dedicated team of contributors, writers and
photographers, who at times went beyond the call of duty, in assisting me to put together
an entertaining package. This has been a remarkable time of growth and I hope my
successor and his team will continue to bring out the best football read this side of the
Equator. Your further support will ensure the magazine’s continued existence.
As you and I part ways, I made sure that I leave you with an exciting package.
